Is Peppol mandatory?
Since 2026, Belgian businesses must send each other e-invoices and be able to receive them. Hopfact sends your invoices over Peppol. Receiving stays in your accounting software.
Does this work with my accounting software?
Hopfact does not replace your accounting software: it produces your timesheets and your sales invoices. A copy of every invoice goes to your accounting software's email address, and you can download it as PDF and UBL.
My agency has its own timesheet template. Does Hopfact still work?
For now, Hopfact produces its own timesheet, with your client's or your agency's logo on it. Using your agency's template is planned as one of the next major features. Until then, you can also use Hopfact for your invoices only.
My client does not sign timesheets. Is Hopfact still useful?
Yes. The signing simply drops out: Hopfact builds the invoice from your days, you check it and send it over Peppol.
Does a digitally signed timesheet hold up?
Yes. For a timesheet, a simple electronic signature with an audit trail is enough; under the European eIDAS rules it carries evidential value. Hopfact records who signed and when, and anyone can check that the document has not been changed since.
What about security and GDPR?
Your data sits in a European region at Microsoft Azure. We sell nothing and pass nothing on for marketing.
What happens to my documents if I stop?
You can keep downloading your invoices and timesheets for as long as the statutory retention period runs. On request we delete your account.
