Hopfact

Beta terms

Version beta-1.0 · 10 October 2026

Hopfact is in beta. These terms apply for as long as the beta runs, together with the privacy statement and the data processing agreement.

Who we are

Hopfact is a service of LOOTVOET BV, Groenestraat 37/C, 8691 Alveringem, company and VAT number BE 0800.934.047, RLE Ghent, Veurne division. You can reach us at info@hopfact.be.

Who it is for

Hopfact is for Belgian businesses with a VAT number that invoice their own services. You use it for your business, not as a consumer. During the beta you can only get in with an invitation. Whoever accepts these terms declares that they may do so on behalf of the business.

Free during the beta

Hopfact is free until the paid launch. After that you are not obliged to take out a subscription. If you don't, you can keep downloading your invoices and timesheets for as long as their legal retention period runs.

A beta, without guarantees

Hopfact is still being built. That means:

  • features can change or disappear;
  • the app can contain errors, including in calculations and documents;
  • the app can be unavailable for a while;
  • an email or a Peppol delivery can fail.

We do our best, but promise no availability. So keep your own copy of every invoice, for example in your accounting tool.

You remain responsible

Hopfact creates your documents from what you enter. You remain responsible for:

  • your invoices and timesheets: check every invoice before you finalise it;
  • your VAT;
  • receiving through Peppol: Hopfact sends, but you arrange receiving with another Peppol provider, for example your accounting tool;
  • your bookkeeping and keeping your invoices.

What is not allowed

  • creating invoices for services that were not delivered, or under the number of a business you may not represent;
  • sending emails or signing requests to people who have nothing to do with your assignment;
  • trying to view other users' data, or overloading the app;
  • sharing your login with someone else.

In case of abuse, we can shut off your access immediately.

Your data stays yours

We only use your data to make Hopfact work, as the privacy statement and the data processing agreement describe. We keep issued invoices, sent timesheets and their audit trail for 10 years. You can download every document.

If the beta ends

The beta ends at the paid launch. If we stop Hopfact without a paid version, we tell you at least 60 days in advance. Until then you can download all your documents. After that we provide them on request. We can also end your participation, with 30 days' notice.

You can stop at any time yourself and delete your account.

Liability

Hopfact is free during the beta and provided as is. We are only liable for direct damage caused by our fault, not for indirect damage, fines or interest, and in total for at most 100 euros. This does not apply in case of intent, fraud or gross negligence on our part, nor where the law prohibits it.

Changes

You will see a new version of these terms the next time you sign in to the app. You accept it with a click. If you don't accept it, you can no longer use Hopfact. We then provide your documents on request.

At the paid launch, full general terms, with the subscription and cancellation, replace these beta terms. The app also asks you to accept those.

Governing law and court

Belgian law applies. In case of a dispute, we first look for a solution together. If that fails, only the Enterprise Court of Ghent, Veurne division, has jurisdiction.
